In the realm of simply cool, this is a tradition for Taylor University, an NAIA school in Indiana. On the last game before the students start winter break, everyone in the student section comes in some sort of crazy get-up and stays completely quiet until the Trojans notch their tenth point. Pandemonium follows thereafter. Later in the game, the whole student section locks arms and sings “Silent Night,” which they can still get away with, being a tiny Christian school and all. Apparently, there’s also a monster all-school christmas party afterward. Sometimes, I wish I’d gone to school somewhere like this instead of a high-major D-1 pubbie. Only for a moment.
